Stanford New Schools relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to help us continue our important work. The state funding that we receive only covers approximately 75% of our operating needs, and we must raise the balance from private donors, corporations, and foundations that believe in our goals and support our accomplishments.

Tax-free IRA Distributions
As of August, 2006 under the Pension Protection Act of 2006,
you can now make a lifetime gift using funds from your individual
retirement account (IRA) without tax penalties.
Up to $100,000 of your distribution requirement for the 2007 tax year
can be donated without paying federal income taxes.
You may contribute funds if:
- You are age 70 or older
- The gift is $100,000 or less each year
- You make the gift on or before Dec. 31, 2007
- You transfer funds directly from an IRA or Rollover IRA
- You transfer the gift outright to one or more public charities, but not supporting organizations or donor advised funds

or electronic Scrip returns a percent
of your purchase to Stanford New Schools when you shop with an
Albertson's or Safeway Club Card.
In addition, we receive funds when you enroll a Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, Discover, or Debit/ATM card and use the card at
participating merchants.
